Vidas Impactantes... Cultura, Biografía e Historia
In this project we were tasked with studying a certain country and person of interest from that country. From there we had to write a small paper summarizing what we learned. After this we had to give a presentation in Spanish about our person of importance and create a visual to go along with it. I chose to create a video highlighting the life of Luis Urzúa and the mine collapse of 2010. It was incredibly interesting to research the history and geography of Chile and the life of this man. He lived through a huge period of unrest and prevailed, providing leadership to the miners trapped in the mine.

I feel that this project went well. I learned a lot about Chile and some of the people who live there. Learning that the miners of Chile are still facing similar conditions and problems as Luis Urzúa was one of the most impactful pieces of this. I feel good about this project because we could dive deep into an area that seemed interesting and create a visual piece that reflected what we wanted to do. If I were to do this project again, I would plan out my video a little more. I would have liked to add subtitles in English or Spanish so people could understand my voice a little better. In addition to this, I would have liked to speak a little slower or spent a little more time on pronouncing all my words. There are a couple instances in the video where I say words with the incorrect pronunciation. In the future I will keep this in mind and strive to correct it.
